ALICE M. POULIOT

Alice M. Pouliot of Caro, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community, surrounded by her loving family. Alice was born October 22, 1929, in Vassar, the daughter of the late Edgar and Esther (Mosher) Streeter and was a graduate of Millington High School Class of 1947. She was united in marriage with Walter Pouliot on May 6, 1950, in Caro, and the couple had celebrated 55 years together prior to Walter’s death on December 1, 2005. Alice enjoyed gardening, bird watching, painting ceramics and was an avid international traveler. Alice was a fantastic cook, and loved being surrounded by her family, especially in the kitchen.

Left to cherish her memory are four children and their spouses: Bill and Donna Pouliot of Holt, Brenda and David Coyer of Caro, Dick and Teri Pouliot of Caro, Annette and Greg LaPratt of North Branch; ten grandchildren and their spouses: Aimee and Dean Buggia, Nicole and Chris Bondsteel, Heather and Simon Powrie, Angela and Mario Torrez, Greg and Megan Coyer, Nelson Pouliot, AnnaLisa Pouliot, Adrienne and Gaurav Chadha, Dustin and Sarah LaPratt and Sterling LaPratt; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by one grandson, Travis Pouliot; one brother, Richard Streeter; and one sister, Marjorie Streeter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 23, 2019, at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Caro with Rev. Jerzy Dobosz officiating. Burial will follow at Almer Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m.  There will be a Rosary service Sunday at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to St. Christopher Parish, c/o Christian Services.
