RICHARD “RICH” LAGOS

Richard “Rich” Lagos of Caro, age 71, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019, at his residence. Rich was born April 5, 1948, in Caro, the son of the late Stanley and Mary (Urban) Lagos. After graduation from Caro High School in 1966, Rich was drafted into the United States Army and served in Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, he accepted a position with Michigan Sugar Company in Caro where he worked as a machinist for 41 years. In March of 1968, Rich married the former Linda Swaffer, and she survives him. Later that same year, they purchased their residence west of Caro. Rich and Linda spent their summers traveling in their motorhome throughout Michigan and the Carolinas, and spent their winters in Arizona. He enjoyed spending time fishing with his son, hunting, and has been a longtime NASCAR fan. Rich was a member of the Catholic faith, the Caro American Legion Post #7, the Vassar Eagles Aerie #2380, and considered himself blessed with good health and a wonderful family. The family wishes to extend its thanks to McLaren Hospice.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Linda; two children: Jeff and Sandra Lagos and their daughter, Alexandria, of Sunbury, Ohio, and Brenda and Bradley Bigham of Caro; and his aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his remaining aunts and uncles.
