Richard Lee Campbell, 69 of Signal Mountain, formerly of Caro, passed away March 29, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones. Richard was a grocery store manager and was in the Air Force for six years. He served in the Vietnam war during his time in the service.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Verna Pauline Campbell, brother of Duane Campbell, sister Edna Radizwon, sister-in-law Barb Campbell.
He is survived by: Karen Campbell of Signal Mountain, TN; daughters: Carla (Todd) Morris of Ingleside, IL, Angela (Winston) Barber of Signal Mountain, TN; Nicole Campbell of Mesa, AS; grandchildren: Sean Campbell of Ingleside, IL, Jared Barber of Signal Mountain, TN, Tiffany (Zack) Parker of Signal Mountain, TN, Heather (Lance) Wilbanks of Rosalie, AL, Joshua (Keyla) Barber of Signal Mountain, TN; brothers:, Kenneth Campbell, Les (JoAnne) Campbell; sisters: Deloris (Paul) Collins, Marilyn Miller; brother-in-law, Larry Radizwon; six grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Special thank you to Dad’s amazing doctors, Dr. Elizabeth Close and Dr. Upsand Chakraborty. They fought so hard for dad through his illness. We are eternally grateful to Holly Messer and Becca Taylor. The care and love for our dad touched our hearts beyond words. We would like to thank The Hearth Hospice team, especially Nurses Josh and Alesha for their comforting words and support during his final days.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Lane Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrance, Chattanooga, TN 37415.
Donations may be made to the family to offset the funeral and medical expenses.
