Kenneth Roosevelt McNinch JR of Mayville, age 83, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro with family by his side.
He was born October 8, 1934 in Detroit to the late Kenneth and Alice (Spraque) McNinch. Kenneth proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Cold War. On May 13, 1958, Kenneth married Marilyn Belle (Stephens) Hobson. He retired from the Caro Regional Center with 32 years of service. Kenneth enjoyed flying, sailing, bowling, camping and spending time with his family.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Marilyn; three sons, David (Patricia) of Mayville, James (Jamilah) of Duluth, Georgia and John of Flint; stepson, Stephen (Sue) Hobson of Bridgeport: ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother Vera (Bellamy) McNinch; two stepchildren, Michael and Gregory Hobson; one grandson, Forest Hobson: and one sister, Cherilyn McNinch.
The family will receive visitors Friday, September 21, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. at the Avram Funeral Home, 6028 Lincoln St. Mayville, MI, and on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Avram Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Avram Funeral Home with Pastor Carole Brown officiating.
Interment will be in the Fremont Township Cemetery with Military Honors being conducted by the American Legion Post #181 and the Mayville/Vassar VFW Post #10884.
