Paul Edward Moore of Caro, age 78, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at his home. Paul was born August 25, 1939 in Sault Ste Marie, the son of the late Edward James Moore and Priscilla Jane (Swick) Lord. Paul was united in marriage with Louise Joan Hepler at the Caro United Methodist Church on November 19, 1960, and she preceded him in death in December 2009. Paul was a Veteran of the Army & Army National Guard, Honorably Discharged in 1960. Paul was employed over the years as a printer and typesetter with Soo News Printing, Midwest Rotary, and F.P. Horak Printing, until his retirement. During his employment, he also owned and operated Moore’s Country Kitchen restaurant in Caro. Paul was a member of the Caro United Methodist Church and the Caro Eagles Club.
Paul is survived by his children, James Edward and Gwen Moore of Vail, Arizona, Pamela Sue (Moore) Mikeska of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and Edward Lee and Robin Clark of Northville; three grandchildren: Christopher Paul Mikeska of Algonquin, Illinois, Kyle Thomas Mikeska of Mountain Home, Idaho and Megan Louise Mikeska of Schaumburg, Illinois; siblings and their spouses: Patrick Moore of Mesa, Arizona, Alice Keilitz of Caro, Carol Catlin of Clio, Robert and Sandy Lord of Flint, Richard Kinyon (spouse of Mary) of Rochester, New York, Charles Lord of Bay City, Mary and Mike Disch of Gwinn, Vic Lord of Saginaw; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Paul was preceded in death by two brothers: Albert Lord and Arthur Lord; and one sister, Mary Kinyon.
In keeping with Paul’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial gathering is being planned for the near future. The family was assisted with these arrangements by the Ransford Collon Funeral Home of Caro.
