Johnnie B. Randall of Vassar, age 61, passed away suddenly at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital on Friday, August 25, 2017. Johnnie was born July 30, 1956 in Caro, the son of Donnabell (Allbee) and the late Wilferd Randall, living his whole life in the Caro area and attending Caro High School. Johnnie was united in marriage with Beatrice Michelle Farnum on April 13, 1974 in Caro, and they enjoyed more than 34 years together prior to her death March 6, 2009. Johnnie was employed with Means Industries in Vassar for 35 years, working in production and as a forklift operator in the Shipping and Receiving Department before retiring. He was also active in the U.A.W. Johnnie loved fishing, hunting, camping, canoeing, and spending time with family, even though he liked to yell at them. Through this all, Johnnie was always there to help someone in need.
Left to cherish his memory are his three children and their spouses, Mindie and Kenny Cunningham of Vassar, John “J.R.” Randall of Vassar, Corey and Stacy Randall of Essexville; six grandchildren, Bradly Ray, Makayla Randall, Abbey Cunningham, Nathan Randall, Savannah Randall, and Isaac Randall; his mother, Donnabell Randall; one sister, Donna Randall; one brother, Willie Randall; his fiancée, Terrie (Wright) McTaggart; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Johnnie B.
