Kirk Alan Kitchen of Caro, age 59, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at his home, following a lingering illness. Kirk was born August 4, 1957 in Caro, the son of the late Hubert and Beverly (Moore) Kitchen. He was employed as a tool and die maker with General Motors, retiring in February 2016. Kirk loved spending time with family, shooting, and riding his Harleys. In younger years, he raced flat track motorcycles.
Kirk is survived by two children, Kauri Kitchen and her boyfriend, Jason Ramirez, of Bay City and Kris Kitchen and his wife, Amanda, of Caro; three grandchildren, Kamryn Foley, Adisynn Kitchen and Winston Ramirez; siblings, Lee Jae Kitchen of Rose Island, Jane Kitchen of Florida, and Bob Kitchen of Cass City.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Living Waters Chapel in Caro with Pastor Jon Terry officiating. Burial will follow at the Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. The family was assisted with these arrangements by the Ransford Collon Funeral Home of Caro.
