Douglas Bruce Foster

Douglas Bruce Foster died peacefully, on October 29, 2016, with his wife Margaret by his side. Doug was born December 9, 1938 and was a graduate of Millington High School. He went on to receive a BS from Eastern Michigan University and an MS from Western Washington University. Doug combined his teaching skill with his love of travel. He taught at Bloomingdale (Michigan) Millington, Brighton, Japan, Bolivia, Italy, Taiwan, and New Zealand.
Besides his wife, Margaret, Doug is survived by his first wife, Esther (Kinney) McDonnell, and their three children Geoffrey (Sherri), Eileen (John) Bigham, and Mary Belle.  Also, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his sister, Carol (Foster) Isley.
Doug enjoyed building Heathkits, square dancing, building U-control & radio control airplanes, country music, chess, and photographing the many places he visited.
A memorial will commence at noon December 9, 2016 at the Millington United Methodist Church 9020 State Rd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Millington United Methodist Church.
