PAMELA ANNE MANTEY, Bad Axe

Passed away on Monday, June 4, 2012, at the age of 56. She was born Feb. 11, 1956 to the late Carl E. and Dorothy (Tuckey) Mantey. Pamela was confirmed and a member of Evangelical Lutheran Brethren Church of Caro and most recently attended Free Methodist Church of Bad Axe. For several years she worked as a hairdresser and also worked at Thumb Industries in Bad Axe. She enjoyed crafts, canning, cards, gardening and bow hunting, as she loved the outdoors. Pamela also cherished spending time with her grandchildren. Pamela is survived by her son, Andrew (Lori) Johnson; one daughter, Kimberly (Mike) Cobb; her mother, Dorothy Mantey; two brothers, Jim (Anita) and Chuck (Mary Jo) Mantey; three grandchildren, Alyssa, Mackenzie and Hayden Johnson; several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her fiancé, Thomas Talaski Jr. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 8 at 11 a.m. at Free Methodist Church of Bad Axe with Reverend Jerry Sutton officiating. Visitation will take place from 2-9 p.m. on Thursday, June 7 at MacAlpine Funeral Home, Bad Axe and Friday at 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Memorials may be offered to the Hospice Advantage Fund, 5986 E. Cass City Rd., Cass City, MI 48726.
