Dean Wallace Fisher of Caro (formerly of Troy), age 86, died Wednesday, April 1, 2020. He was born March 24, 1934, in Royal Oak, to Tony and Cora (Baker) Fisher.
Dean married Elaine Marie Hessell on May 5, 1954, in Royal Oak. He was a self-employed trucker for nearly 50 years, retiring in 2000. Dean hauled gravel and sand all over the Detroit metro area. Dean and Elaine were longtime active members of Emmanuel Bethel Church in Royal Oak. After retirement they moved to Caro, where Dean enjoyed farming and raising cattle.
Dean is survived by his children: Karey (Karen) Fisher, Jeff (Maryann) Fisher, Nate (Sandy) Fisher, Darlene (Ron) Fisher Carlson, John (Rose Giles) Fisher; daughter-in-law, Vickie Fisher; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sister, Nancy Dixon. He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Fisher; parents, Tony Joseph and Cora Mary Fisher; and siblings: Quintin, Laurene, Nina, Stanley and Blanche.
