Diana R. Hood, age 82, passed away on January 4, 2020. She was born August 11, 1937, to the late Lester and Ila Hood. Diana was married to Lewis Hood III and together they had four children Holly, Greg, Deborah, and Lewis. Diana worked for Suski’s and Labadie dealerships as a comptroller for many years. She was a long-time member at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Vassar where she had served on the alter guild. Diana had many hobbies, but some of her favorites were: quilting with the Millington Quilting club; reading, in fact she loved it so much, she had her own library full of books; gardening; and being a part of the Red Hat Society. Diana loved to spend time with her family and friends and will be forever missed.
Diana will be forever loved by her three children: Holly Jones, Greg Hood, and Deborah Ramey; eight grandchildren: Nicholas, AshLynn, Jeremey, Joshua, Emilee, William, Kathlynn, and Holly; two great-grandsons: Karsyn and Logan; as well as several nieces and nephews, extended family, and many friends.
Diana is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Hood III; son, Lewis Wade Hood IV; siblings; and parents.
The family would like to invite you to the Hanlin Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. for a time of visitation. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Vassar at 11 a.m. with a time of visiting at 10 a.m. Following the funeral, burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Vassar. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given to the Vassar Library, Millington Quilting Club, or the McLaren Hospice. Hanlin Funeral Home has been assisting the family with arrangements.
