Rosemary Dicks of Caro, age 73, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Rosemary was born May 9, 1946, in Marquette, the daughter of the late Clarence and Daisy (Hawking) LaMere. She was united in marriage with Britton Dicks on September 6, 1969, and he survives. Rosemary was a homemaker who enjoyed birdwatching, especially hummingbirds, nature, hot cocoa, Christmas lights, and spending time with family. She also wrote poems, did crosswords, enjoyed rides and trips, and liked watching Little House on the Prairie and the Waltons on T.V.
Rosemary is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Britton Dicks of Caro; two children: Britton Dicks, Jr. of Caro, Jodi Dicks of Caro; one brother, Norman LaMere and Rose of Carsonville; several nieces, nephews, close friends and pets. In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her dog, Rex; five sisters and two brothers.
In keeping with Rosemary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at the Countryside Free Methodist Church, 912 West Sanilac Road, Sandusky, MI 48471. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the National Audubon Society or the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
