Gloria J. (Bader) Harris of Vassar, age 73, passed away Friday morning August 9, 2019, surrounded by family.

Gloria was the daughter of the late Harold and Dolores (Paetsch) Bader and was born on August 22, 1945, in Caro, and grew up in the Caro area graduating from Caro High School. Gloria married Frank Harris, Sr. January 22, 1966. She worked for 20 years at the Uncle Ray’s IGA Store in Vassar in the bakery. She also drove school bus for the Vassar Public School system. She spent many successful years selling Home Interiors and later owned and operated Mother and Daughter’s Hidden Talent.

Gloria leaves her family to cherish her memory: Frank (Mindi) Harris, Christine Knapp, Teeia (Roger) Gordon; grandchildren: Nicholas Wilson (Melissa Goboly), Bristol Wilson (Christopher Bancroft), Zander Harris, Aliyah Gordon and Mya Gordon; great-grandsons: Mykel Wilson, Brody Wilson and Kohen Bancroft; siblings: Nancy Bader-Harris (Ron), Ruth Ann German, Kathy Bader-Cooper (Virgil), Marylou Bader-Finn (Patrick), Roger Bader, Kaylynn Bader-DuBois (Leads) and brother, Roger Bader; and many nieces, nephews including Jackie and Kevin Jobson, and extended family and friends. Besides her parents, Gloria is also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Harris, Sr., and brothers: Richard Bader and Harold Bader Jr.

Friends may call at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, from 3-8 p.m., and for a brief time on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at the St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Vassar, Michigan from 10 a.m. until the services begin. Funeral Services for Gloria will be held at the St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Vassar on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at 11 a.m. The burial will follow at the Millington Township Cemetery.
