David M. Nelson of Cass City, age 80, died peacefully Monday, February 18, 2019, in Autumnwood of Deckerville. He was born April 17, 1938, in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He married Helen Marie DeGuzman February 9, 2013, in Living Word Worship Center, Cass City.

David graduated with an Associate Degree in Business and worked for a short time as an Accountant. As a young man, David worked as a cook for a logging mill and later worked for a time as a butcher. David was a journeyman toolmaker and retired from General Motors after many years of service as a toolmaker. He truly appreciated and enjoyed the outdoors.

David is survived by his wife, Helen; three daughters and their families; step-daughter, Sharon (Mike) Reeder of Cass City and their children, Mikayla Reeder and Aurora Reeder; brother, Ray Nelson of Saginaw.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2019, in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Pastor Jep Bryant of Living Word Worship Center officiating.
