Blanche F. Juhasz of Caro, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Heritage Hill Assisted Living in Caro. Blanche was born May 30, 1925, in Akron, Ohio and moved to Tuscola County with her parents, Peter and Anna Koza, when she was one year old. She graduated from Vassar High School in 1943, and from Bay City School of Commerce in 1945. Blanche was first employed by Chevrolet Fisher Body Plant in Flint as a secretary and later worked at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility for several years. She spent most of her life living on their farm in Caro as a homemaker and mother. Blanche was united in marriage with Andrew “Andy” Juhasz on December 7, 1946, in Akron. They were married for nearly 63 years before Andy preceded her in death on November 18, 2009. Blanche was a lady of schedule. She was extremely organized and always kept things very tidy. Blanche loved to cook meals for family and always had them prepared on time. She read her Bible daily and, for as long as she could, regularly attended the Bethel United Methodist Church. She became good friends with many of the nearby farmers and churchgoers. For many years, Blanche enjoyed playing games with family and almost always was the lucky winner! She loved working in the yard and kept it meticulous until the day came that she was unable to care for it anymore. Family was always important to her and she loved them with all of her heart.
Blanche is survived by three daughters and their spouses: Karen and Lynn Schriber, Joyce and James Mewhiney, all of Caro, Debra and Roger Juhasz-Krawczyk of Saginaw; five grandchildren and their spouses: Brian and Cathy Schriber, Kara and Greg Festian, all of Caro, Andrea and Deron Stec of South Lyon, Nicole Mewhiney of Roswell, Georgia, and Erika and Kris Trisch of Wesley Chapel, Florida; 11 great-grandchildren: Haley, Kent (Ally), Morgan and Cole Schriber and their mother, Annette, Nicklas Festian, Brendon and Sydney Stec, Grace, Faith and Max Trisch; one sister-in-law, Betty and Ed Bartz of Troy; and several special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Blanche was preceded in death by two sisters: Anna (Elmer) Fetting and Susan Koza; seven brothers: Steve, Peter (Grace), John, Samuel, Andrew, and Emil (Helen), and Daniel (Emily) Koza; and sister-in-law, Margaret (Lee) Vaughan.
