William (Billy) H. Batrow of Millington, age 86, passed away early Tuesday evening January 8, 2019.
Billy was born in Watertown Township on August 3, 1932, and was the son of the late William and Maude (Riness) Batrow. Billy served in the U.S. Army in the 53rd Tank Division during the Korean War. When he returned home after the war, he went to work for General Motors. Billy worked 30 years for the Fisher Body Plant of GM as a crane operator. Billy loved going to yard sales, he loved finding things that needed work, once repaired he’d put items out for sale. He loved shooting pool, and running the roads, that was Billy.
Billy leaves his daughter. Debra (Joel) Buchinger; sister, Ramona Hemingway; his extended family: Robert (Bob) Ramsey; sister in-law, Donna Batrow; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family. Besides Billy’s parents, he was preceded in death by his wives: Shirley and Sydney; brothers: Glenn, Stanley, Wesley, and Lyle: and sisters: Larene, Genevieve Leona, and Evelyn.
The Batrow family received friends on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 11 a.m. until the funeral services at 1 p.m. at the Hanlin
Funeral Home in Millington. Private burial will be at the Millington Township Cemetery. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to a charity of your choice.
