Pierre D. Cramer of Caro, age 95, died on Friday October 5, 2018. Pierre was born on May 10, 1923 in Akron to the late Luri and Philadelphia (Streeter) Cramer. He was an avid baseball player and golfer. He went to spring training with the Philadelphia Phillies organization in 1946. His golfing adventures included five holes-in-one. He also worked in the years 1992 and 1933 for the Cleveland Indians spring training. He was a great friend of the baseball Hall of Famer Bob Feller and Cleveland Indian player Davey Nelson.
He is survived by his son, Ren Cramer of Caro; five grandchildren: Becky (Jim) Mathews of Ludington, Kirk (Gretchen) Teetzel of Commerce Twp., Jocelyn (Ben) Teske of Ludington, Brandon Scharrer of Caro, Katelyn Scharrer of Caro; great-grandchildren: A.J. Gomez (Ashley) Gomez of Detroit, Michael Gomez of Ludington, Dustin Mathews of Grand Rapids, Reed Teetzel of Commerce Twp., Ella Teetzel of Commerce Twp., Vaughn Teetzel of Commerce Twp., Emma Teske of Ludington, Katie Teske of Ludington, Mark Teske of Ludington, great-great-grandchildren: Relic Gomez of Ludington, Ava Burchart of Ludington; sister Jane Everett of Rose City. Quintin Cramer of Essexville. He was preceded in death by his brother, Quintin Cramer of Essexville.
