Theodore “Ted” Musiel of Silverwood, age 86, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 with his loving family by his side at United Hospice Service of Marlette Regional Hospital in Marlette.
Ted was born November 2, 1930 in Silverwood on the family’s farm, son of the late Frank and Anna (Advent) Musiel. He graduated from North Branch High School with the Class of 1949. On June 16, 1962, Ted married the love of his life, Virginia Thomas in Caro, and they were married for 55 years. He was a lifelong resident of Silverwood still living on the family farm. Ted was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Clifford since childhood and then St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Marlette for the past 26 years. He loved spending time with family and friends, listening to Polka music, Polka dancing and playing Euchre.
Ted is lovingly remembered by his wife, Virginia of Silverwood; one daughter, Carolyn (Larry) Johnson of Fort Branch, Indiana; three sons, Walt (Elizabeth) Musiel of Marlette, Mark (Lori) Musiel and Robert Musiel of Silverwood; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special companion “Missy”.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and Edward; and three sisters, Genevieve, Francis and Dorothy.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Holy Family Parish St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Marlette with Father Mark Prill officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of the service.
Burial will take place at Rich Township Cemetery.
