Sylvia Leokadya Lubaczewski of Zephyrhills, Florida and formerly of
Caro, age 90, died on December 23, 2016 at Hospice in the Valley in
Surprise, Arizona. Born July 26, 1926 in Detroit, she is predeceased
by her parents, Leon and Leokadya Wisniewski; her brother, Montfred
Wisniewski of Caro; and her late husband, John Dziengowski of Detroit.
Sylvia was a long time resident of Caro before moving to Florida. She
took great pride in being a homemaker, loving wife and mother. She
married Ladislaus Silvester Lubaczewski in 1956. She joined him in the
ownership of LS. Luba Real Estate and became a successful real estate
saleswoman in the mid-1960s. She and her husband were snowbirds to
Florida and Arizona and returned to Caro during the summers. She was a
member of the Dom Polski Polish American Club founded by her late
father Leon Wisniewski. She genuinely loved people, roses and dancing
with her husband Silvester.
Survivors include her husband Ladislaus Silvester Lubaczewski,
Zephyrhills, Florida; daughter, (Tina) Berger of Merritt Island,
Florida; and son, Gerald Dziengowski of Zephyrhills, Florida; sister,
Delores Emery, of Caro; four grandchildren, Gerald Dziengowski Jr. of
Auburndale, Florida, Jennifer Kersey of Clermont, Florida, Stephanie
Mosedale of Merritt Island, Florida, Chrissy Berger of Germantown,
Maryland; and great-grandchildren, Noah Kersey, Clermont, Florida and
Madison Mosedale of Merritt Island, Florida; and numerous nieces and
nephews in the Michigan area.
Arrangements were made at Menke Funeral Home in Sun City, Arizona
where a private service was held. A private service will be held in
Caro in the spring for family members.
