End of Summer

This past Friday, I packed the van, the kids and my fiance up and we went camping. Tents, campfires, smores, sunburns, you name it we did it this weekend.

During this trip I went fishing for the first time since I was 12. With my fishing license in pocket, poles in hand I went fishing. I had no clue what I was doing, so after a quick lesson I was fishing. As I kept my little eyes on my bobber I saw a wonderful thing, it went under water. I yanked that pole and reeled it up and there was my trophy fish, all 5 inches of it. I was thrilled. We took pictures, laughed and threw it back in the water.

As I sit here willing my sunburn away, I can't help but think of the great time we had this weekend, as a family, and just like all the other kids I wish summer was not over yet.
