Maybe it wasn't a "big" win, but it sure helped with the moral of the Caro players. What player was out with an injury? The Tigers played a great 2nd half and deserved the win!

The Caro-Ubly game was an upset. Caro has some very talented athletes and I hope the Tigers are finally finding their groove. Way to go TIGERS!!
If you want the opinion of a mother.....a great gift for your own mother would be a day of pampering at one of the local salons. Gift cards are wonderful if they are to a retailer or to a restaurant that your mother likes. Or spend the day with Mom watching her favorite movies after making her her favorite meal. Just a few thoughts!
This is in response to the comments made by chiefmyers.
I hope you don't think that EVERY parent who buys their child an XBox, Wii, PlayStation 3 (or whatever the latest is) is a bad parent. Or that they are raising irresponsible children. I thank God everyday that I have the means to be able to afford such items for my children. I also thank God that I have children that are on the honor roll; are active in their school, church and community; help out the elderly neighbors; and have never been in trouble with the law. My children also have cellphones (that didn't cost $300) so I am able to stay in touch with them and vice-versa. And, yes, we do bake cookies together and they appreciate the knitted items I make them.
I hope this new group brings the Pumpkin Festival back to its roots in the downtown area. If they are concerned about the weather and the crafters, why not book Schall School for that event? The decorated pumpkins never looked better than when they were on the Courthouse lawn. The Festival needs to be back on Main Street, not at the Fairgrounds!
I totally agree with x61sr0. It is up to the parents to monitor their children's intake and activity levels. There is nothing wrong with occasionally taking your children out for fast food, the problem comes with making it a habit. With the choices that fast food has now (apples instead of fries, juice or milk instead of soda, etc.) a trip now and then through the drive-thru can't hurt. Or how about taking the kids for a walk to the playground instead of letting them plop down in front of the television? Parents need to take responsibility!
I agree with GoBlue. I do not agree with all of the new sports policy set in Frankenmuth. Not all athletes have the same ability, and, due to this, should not have to have equal playing time. Better players should play more than the others. But, each and every player should have playing time in each game. I do agree to the portion of the policy that states that "seniors who have participated in the program every year may not be cut....." These young men have devoted three years to their sport and should be given the respect they deserve.
maw48723 stated ..... "Bill Campbell, as an employee of the Caro DDA, is eligible to participate in municipal retirement and insurance programs of the Village of Caro." As is the case of any other seasonal employee of the DDA (or the Village), Mr. Campbell does NOT qualify for any benefits.
I would like to know where on Michigan.gov is there information on Bill Campbell. I searched his name on that site and came up empty. Also, I think Ms. Osbourne's supporters need to get all of their facts straight before they send out flyers. Mr. Campbell does not work for the Village of Caro. His wages are paid by the Downtown Development Authority.
