On Letter to the Editor: Sandra Bassett

Having worked with you in the past, I would like to thank you for all that you, Pat and the other members of Cass River Pet Friendz have done for animals in Tuscola County. I have been in your house, and have been in Pat's basement, and have seen for myself all the animals you, and others, invite into your homes because there is no other place for them.

I certainly hope that the Animal Control Shelter, that we all pay for, is working as efficiently as it can, and doing everything it can to ensure that it is keeping animals that are adoptable for a quick turnaround. I wonder how long some of those dogs have been there? I have also been to the shelter and know that there are some pretty unfriendly dogs that greet you at the front door in those outdoor cages. It might behoove the shelter to put some cuter, more family-friendly dogs in those outdoor cages. Cute dogs get adopted much faster than mean-looking dogs.

But please, keep up the good work. You provide a service that is unmeasurable. Thank you.

On Closings for Monday 12/17

At the top right of your screen, you should see your user name and then it should say 'Profile'. Click on that. Then you'll see where you can choose to manage your alerts. Just go there and select the alerts you want to receive.

If you choose to have them sent to an email address, I believe you will receive an email at the address you choose that you will have to click to confirm your subscription.
