MARVIN JOHNSON Clifford, formerly of Lapeer Died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 at his home in Clifford, at the age of 75. He was born Oct. 14, 1934 in Clifford, son to the late Claude and Mabel (Robinson) Johnson. He graduated from Kingston High School. He served his country in the U.S. Marines in Korea from 1953-56. Marvin married Bertha Sawgle Sept. 25, 1978 in Lapeer. Mr. Johnson worked at Pontiac Motors for 30 years until his retirement. He was a member of UAW in Pontiac and our Savior Lutheran Church in Marlette. He enjoyed traveling, visiting with friends and most of all, his family. He is survived by a stepson, Ken and Chris Kelch of Appleton, WI; stepgrandchildren, Ken and Joyce Kelch of Neenah, WI, Sam and Katie Kelch, also of Neenah, WI, Casey Kelch of Appleton, WI and Nathan Wickersheim of Menasha, WI; sister, Shirley Woern of Mayville and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers, William, Norman, Jack, Harry and Daniel and sister, Betty New. Funeral service was held Friday, Oct. 30 at 11 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Marlette, with Rev. Eric Kilmer officiating. Burial was in Watertown Twp. Cemetery in Fostoria with full military honors. Memorials may be made to United Hospice Service of Marlette.
