BONNIE JEAN BERNARD

Passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009. She was born to the late Alger and LaDonna (Finn) Hartz on Aug. 20, 1937. She was a graduate of Fairgrove High School in 1955. Bonnie Jean was married in 1956 to the late Tom Sime of Caro. He preceded her in death in 1963. While living in Caro she worked at the ASC office for the county. In 1965 she married Gilbert Bernard of New York. Bonnie Jean is survived by her husband Gil; two sons, Tom Sime Jr. and wife Jane of Okemos and Tim Sime and wife Teri of Grand Ledge; two daughters and their husbands, Jennifer and Keith Broyles and Stephanie and Donnie Briley, all of Arkansas. She had six grandchildren who loved her dearly. Surviving also are two sisters and their husbands, Dianne and Jerry Osantowski of Fairgrove and Sally and Paul Peplinski of Bay City. Bonnie has one surviving aunt, Mildred Bowman of Munger and one surviving uncle, Donald Hartz of Midland, also many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her very much. Three very good friends she loved to visit are Carol Jacoby of Akron, Shirley Kowitz of Fairgrove and Marilyn Parsell of Caro. A memorial service was held Tuesday, Oct. 6 in Little Rock. Bonnie Jean, you will be truly missed. We love you.
