1934 - 2008

Died Thursday, June 26, 2008 at home with her family, at the age of 74. Anna was born May 6, 1934 to Henry and Matilda (Thayer) Yens in Flint.

She graduated from Mayville High School in 1952, then married Edmond Stephens on April 30, 1955 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Mayville.

She was a life member of American Quarter Horse Association and also a life member of Weight Watchers. She loved her grandchildren and her hobbies were oil painting, raising horses, gardening and shopping.

She is survived by her husband, Edmond; two children, Darlene (Joe) Rozanski of Silverwood and Edward (Lisa) Stephens of Mayville; five grandchildren, Erica Fox, Daniel Stephens, Carl Fox, Christina Price and Valarie Rozanski and a special companion, Goliath and many friends.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 30 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville, with Pastor James Naumann officiating. Interment will take place in Rich Township Cemetery. Family will receive visitors 3-8 p.m. Saturday, 12-8 p.m. Sunday at the Avram Funeral Home in Mayville and 10 a.m. until time of service at the church on Monday.
