CARO — A two-vehicle accident about 3 p.m. Thursday sent three people to hospitals for treatment of injuries.
Edward Walkiewicz, 52, of Deford was traveling west on East Dayton Road near Weeden Road in a 2001 Chevy Impala when he turned his vehicle left into a private drive. In doing that, he turned in front of a 2007 Buick traveling east on East Dayton Road that was driven by local attorney Brian Schrope, 62, of Marlette.
“His (Schrope’s) vehicle was pushed off the road into a tree,” said Michigan State Police Sgt. Geoffory Boyer.
Schrope was taken by ambulance to Covenant Hospital in Saginaw, as was his 29-year-old passenger, Henrik Berdel of Marlette.
Walkiewicz was taken by ambulance to Caro Community Hospital.
