CARO — Watching Caro fall to Garber was a disappointing end to the Pigskin Prophet's homecoming tour, however with only three weeks left in the season, there is no time for the Prophets to dwell in the past.
"Guys, there are only three weeks left in the season and we still have some schools we haven't seen," Chris said. "Where do we go from here?"
"I know a place we can go that is sounds just perfect for us," Derek said. "They may not have much school spirit, but there is a motel on the edge of town with comfy beds that are just screaming my name right now. I'm exhausted from all of this running around."
"Nobody wants to hear you whine Derek," Christian said. "Did Michigan give up last week when they were down and tired late in the game against MSU? NO! They fought back and.."
Before Christian could finish his sentence, Tim jumped in with his thoughts.
"THEY LOST!" Tim shouted. "That was a great example Christian, now you have me all fired up about that game again!"
"OK then, lets try something else," Christian said as he took a moment to think. "I've got it! The Tigers! They battled with the Minnesota Twins and took that game to 13 innings, and that was one of the greatest baseball games I've ever seen."
Then the prophets quickly silence after hearing a high-pitched crying noise come from the back corner of the van.
"THEY STILL LOST!" Chad shouted angrily at Christian through the tears. "They broke my heart! They stomped on it! The only thing that could make this better is if the Lions make the playoffs. And still, I won't be fully happy."
"HA!" Superfan laughed. "Better luck next year Chad."
"OK, that's enough. Where are we going this week anyways," Tim said.
"I know this seems a little out there, but Akron-Fairgrove and Owen-Gage play each other this week," Chris said. "This could be our one true chance to witness eight-man football."
"What the heck..." Superfan said. "I'll give it a shot. Who else is in?"
After the rest of the Prophets voted yes, they slowly packed up the van and grabbed a bite to eat before leaving for Owen-Gage high school.
So this week, be sure to look for the Prophets as they travel to watch Akron-Fairgrove take on Owen-Gage in eight-man football. With only two weeks left in the regular season, who knows where the Prophets will end up next.
