TORONTO (Reuters) - Dallas Stars forward James Neal has been suspended for two games for a dangerous hit against Derek Dorsett of the Columbus Blue Jackets, the NHL said Friday.
Neal struck Dorsett from behind, banging the head of the Blue Jackets right wing against the glass. Dorsett crumpled to the ice and had to be helped to the locker room.
The incident occurred midway through the second period of the Blue Jackets' 4-1 victory Thursday in Dallas. Neal was given a major penalty for boarding and a game misconduct.
