Respect is something that someone out there needs to look up in the dictionary. Last time I checked, it meant to show consideration or esteem for someone or something. This includes people who have passed away and items on their gravesites. I am trying to bring this to someone’s attention, because last weekend my husband and I went to the Elmwood Township Cemetery to visit our son and parents’ graves.
We were already emotional being at the cemetery and then we notice that someone has stolen the solar angels from the gravesites. Talk about a kick to the gut. How can someone totally disrespect our loved ones? Stealing from the living is bad enough, but to steal from my dead son and parents, or any deceased person, has got to be the lowest thing a person can do. I went from sad to angrier than I have ever been in my life. How can you live with yourself? Your family must be disappointed with you, because I am.
If this was supposed to be a prank, it is not funny. Those solar angels were representative of the angels that are no longer with us. To those who took our angels, remember, what goes around, comes around.
