TUSCOLA COUNTY — Due to election law changes in 2005, school districts no longer handle their own elections. Because of that, information on Tuesday’s results wasn’t available by press time.
School elections are now handled by township clerks, and they are not required to report voting results to the county clerk until 11 a.m. today (Wednesday).
Also, some school districts - like Reese Public Schools, and the Unionville - Sebewaing Area school district - are in more than one county, so information must be obtained from them as well in order to have complete results.
When the information is available, it will be posted on the Tuscola County Advertiser’s Web site tuscolatoday.com, and a brief synopses will follow in Saturday’s print edition for those who don’t have access to the Internet.
