His vehicle struck a eastbound vehicle on M-15 driven by Phyliss Sheppard, 80, of Birch Run.
Sheppard’s vehicle rolled over into a ditch as a result of the impact. A passenger, 83-year-old Douglas Sheppard, was also in the car. Both received minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital.
Mayer was not injured. All were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.
The second vehicle crash occurred just before noon on Saturday, April 11, at the intersection of M-81 and Hurds Corner Road.
Roger Board, 61, of Cass City was southbound on Hurds Corner Road when a vehicle driven by Angela Huemiller, 33, of Marlette pulled out. Board was unable to stop in time.
Huemiller was cited for failure to yield at an intersection and for driving with a suspended license.
Minor injuries were sustained in the crash.
