CARO — Defending Huron League champs, the Graham Field Baseball Club, moved to 6-0 this summer with a 15-1 win over Caro and 10-0 win against Millington this past week at Graham Field.
Against the Caro Tigers, Pete Salem went all seven innings and struck out 10 batters for a two-hit win.
GFBC stroked 17 hits in the win as James Lopez and Joe Maurer led the way with four hits each.
Lopez had two doubles, a home run and three RBI while Maurer drove in two runs in the win.
Jason Romain, Salem and Shane Kelley each had three hits, including a double while Romain drove in three runs and scored three times.
For Caro, Kevin O’Kelley and Bruce Dunham each had a hit as O’Kelley drove in Dunham for the only run in the fifth.
Jordan Dunham took the mound loss.
Against Millington last Saturday, Lopez, Kelley and Caleb Licavoli all had three hits in the shutout win while Pat Graham tossed a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts and two walks.
Lopez had two doubles and two RBI while Tim Curtis led the way with three RBI on a double and a single.
Kelley and Licavoli each scored two runs.
