CARO ‹ Being good stewards of the environment earned four Tuscola County farmers recognition at Tuesday’s county meeting.
County commissioners recognized Greg Ackerman of Ackerman & Sons, LLC of Vassar, Mike Findlay of Clearwater Farms of Caro, Tim and Cathy Howell of Fairgrove and Jonathan Findlay of Caro.
They were honored for “their outstanding commitment to the environment and for assuring that agriculture resources and quality of life are available for current and future generations by achieving the standards of Michigan Agricultural Environmental Assurance Program (MEAP).”
The commissioners expressed their gratitude for the farmers’ dedication to protecting the environment.
