CARO ‹ Jennifer Stark, the owner of Curves in Caro, walked in to Innovations hair studio, sat down and promptly gave away 10 inches of her hair.
Willingly.
Stark is generously donating 10 inches to Locks of Love, a public non-profit organization that provides financially-disadvantaged children under the age of 18 with hairpieces. The program services children in the United States and Canada who suffer from long-term hair loss.
“It’s taken me about three years to grow my hair out,” Stark commented.
Stark first heard about the program through her sister, who also donated to the organization.
“I decided it was time for a change,” she continued, “and Locks of Love is the perfect reason for it.”
Lesa Luna, the owner of Innovations hair studio, has serviced many with the same desire. Although individuals can send in their hair on their own, the hair studio also stores and ships it out.
In order to donate, hair must be grown 10 inches or longer.
