Beloved husband and father passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at St. Mary’s of Michigan in Saginaw, at the age of 50. He was born on Oct. 27, 1961 in Saginaw, the son of Harry and Joann (Babcock) March. On Oct. 8, 1988 Greg married Sherry Briggs and they resided in Vassar. Greg deeply loved his children, his dog Dudley, hunting and fishing, just hanging out and had a great passion for cooking. Surviving family include his wife, Sherry; daughter, Joana March (fiancé Paul Kruse); sons, Gregory March and Matt Blackmore; his parents, Harry and Joann March; a brother, Harry Michael March; a sister, Shawn (March) Arter and brother-in-law, Jim Arter; his mother and father-in-law, Linda and Don Jr. Briggs; a sister-in-law, Debbie Hecht; a brother-in-law, Donald Briggs and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12 at Vassar Church of the Nazarene, 3822 W. Saginaw Rd. in Vassar. Pastor David Wermuth will officiate. The family will greet friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to Greg’s family or to the Vassar or Millington Food Pantry. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Penzien-Steele Funeral Home in Vassar.
