CARO — The Continuous Line Art Studio has moved to 1285 E. Caro Rd. (M-81), Caro, near Cameron Rd.
The studio will begin new class sessions the week of Sept. 12.
Victoria Scelfo and Linda Mason are taking creativity to a new level by moving The Continuous Line Art Studio (CLAS). The new studio is complete with parking and room for twice as many students as their prior studio space, which was located on the upper floor of the Caro Antique Mall.
An ‘Arty Party Open House’ to celebrate the new studio/creative center is being held on Sat. Aug. 27 from 4-8 p.m. with refreshments and information on all upcoming classes. The public is welcome and registrations for adult watercolor classes, children’s multi media classes, and an all-day workshop on making canvas floor cloth rugs, will also be taken during the open house. The workshop on Canvas Floor Cloth Rugs will be held Oct. 29.
Victoria Scelfo teaches adult watecolor classes three days a week and Linda Mason teaches children’s after-school multi-media classes two days each week.
One day workshops are periodically held with Scelfo on various techniques and other creative endeavors, such as color theory, a beginning workshop entitled “Try It To See If You Like It” for new watercolor students and experiemental watermedia techniques.
In January the CLAS will host Saginaw artist Steve Fanelli, NWS, for a two-day drawing workshop for adults for ages 16 and up. The workshop will meet for one day each week. Dates to be announced.
The Continuous Line Art Studio is also forming an art group called “ART/60″ (Art over 60) for persons over ages 55 who are interested in/working in/or dabbling in the painting mediums of watercolor, acrylic, casein, gouache, oils, pastels, inks, drawing and collage with any of the previously mentioned mediums applied. The group will meet once per month to share works in progress, discuss techniques and share information. Meeting date to be determined.
