District Court
Brenton David Hecht, 45, Saginaw, is charged with larceny in a building; false report of a felony; larceny, less than $200. Pretrial is set for March 7 and preliminary exam is set for March 14.
David Garces Jr., 21, Caro, is charged with controlled substance – delivery/manufacturing marijuana, second offense; controlled substance – possession of marijuana, second offense. In a separate case, he is charged with two counts of controlled substance – delivery/manufacturing marijuana, second offense; controlled substance – possession of marijuana, second offense; controlled substance – maintaining a drug house. Pretrial is set for March 7 and March 14 in both cases.
Tyler James Terbush, 18, Owendale, is charged with breaking and entering a building with intent; two counts of financial transaction device – stealing/retaining without consent; larceny, less than $200. Pretrial is set for March 7 and preliminary exam is set for March 14.

Circuit Court
Clara Jane Owczykowski, 18, Caro, pleaded guilty to assault and battery. She was remanded to district court for sentencing.
Michele Susanne Elbers, 51, Vassar, pleaded guilty to license documents/plates – forgery; operating with a suspended license, second offense. Sentence date to be set.
Edward Michael Palmer, 33, Caro, pleaded not guilty to controlled substance – possession of marijuana, second offense, habitual offender, fourth. Pretrial to be set.
Christopher Andrew Shaft, 23, Caro, pleaded not guilty to motor vehicle – unlawfully driving away. Pretrial to be set.
Justin Donald Grice, 22, Deford, pleaded not guilty to breaking and entering a building with intent; conspiracy to breaking and entering a building with intent; motor vehicle – unlawfully driving away; conspiracy to motor vehicle – unlawfully driving away. Pretrial to be set.
Wendy Teresa Webb, 39, Vassar, pleaded not guilty to police officer – fleeing, third degree; operating with a high blood alcohol content; failure to report an accident. Pretrial to be set.
David Jay Diener, Jr., 25, Vassar, pleaded guilty to controlled substance – possession, less than 25 grams, second offense, habitual offender, fourth. Sentence date to be set.
Robert Wendell-Earl Hilyard, 26, Florida City, Fla., pleaded not guilty to sex offender – failure to comply with registration act; sex offender – failure to comply with registration duties. In a separate case, he pleaded not guilty to sex offender – failure to comply with registration act; sex offender – failure to comply with registration duties. Pretrial to be set.
Cynthia Ann Shivley, 39, Cass City, was sentenced to 12 months delayed for controlled substance – possession of analogues; 90 days with 2 days credit for operating while intoxicated, occupant under 16. She was ordered to pay $1,366 in costs and fines.
Guy John Somerville, 19, Unionville, was sentenced to 270 days with 1 day credit, 36 months probation for assault with a dangerous weapon. He was ordered to pay $4,711.61 in restitution and $3,198 in costs and fines.
Jason Craig Kowitz, 34, Flint, was sentenced to 30 months – 15 years with 89 days credit for operating while intoxicated, third offense, habitual offender, fourth. He was ordered to pay $1,198 in costs and fines.
Gregory Lewis Barrons, 48, Deford, was sentenced to 365 days with 1 day credit, 180 days deferred, 60 months probation for embezzlement by a public official – over $50. He was ordered to pay $1,198 in costs and fines and restitution is to be determined.
Randy Wayne Newton, 37, Otter Lake, pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated, third offense, habitual offender, second. Sentence date to be set.
Jermaine Lamar Smith, 39, Freeland, pleaded no contest to home invasion, third offense, habitual offender, fourth. Sentence date to be set.
